Aslak Siimes received a bachelor's degree from the Lahti Institute of Design in Finland and studied furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Later obtained his master's degree in industrial design from the Royal Academy of Arts in London. As an award-winning designer in many fields, Aslak has worked in famous designer studios such as Francis Sultana Studio and Emmanuel Babled Studio, as well as the prestigious design firm JPA in the aviation field before joining UDL.

Aslak Siimes has worked and collaborated with many well-known brands including Cathay Pacific, ST Aerospace, Singapore Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Bvlgari, Venini, Francis Sultana, Emmanuel Babled, and many others.
