Dr. Alva, a new-generation skincare brand founded in China and rooted in the philosophy of “micro-ecological scientific skincare,” has established a unique position in targeted skin repair and microbiome balance. As the brand entered a new chapter of development, Dr. Alva required a future-oriented visual system—one that could unify its brand language and convey both scientific innovation and aesthetic sensibility. UDL developed a comprehensive visual identity system, achieving a seamless unity from brand mark to product experience. This renewal not only reinforces the brand’s core values of science, professionalism, and trust, but also infuses the overall visual expression with a pioneering spirit and artistic edge, shaping consumer perception and strengthening brand personality.

In this brand mark renewal, UDL placed “pioneering spirit” and “artistic sensibility” at the heart of the design concept, creating a logotype that balances visual impact with adaptability. The new wordmark adopts a near-square structure, using bold contrasts in stroke thickness to enhance weight and legibility across diverse media and complex backgrounds. Each stroke has been meticulously refined; subtle adjustments in thickness achieve a sense of visual balance and comfort, while fluid curves give the contours fullness and tension. This visual language reflects Dr. Alva’s commitment to scientific advancement and delivers a timeless, enduring aesthetic.

The breakthrough in this design lies in the holistic integration of VI (Visual Identity) and PI (Product Identity). UDL extracted the distinctive “D” contour from the brand mark and systematically extended this visual DNA across every product touchpoint. From the logotype and graphic elements to product form and structural details, the design language centers on the “D” motif, ensuring consistency and cohesion. Product packaging achieves a delicate balance of functionality, aesthetics, and ritual, allowing consumers to experience professionalism, innovation, and human care at every touchpoint—a unified brand perception that extends from sight to touch.

We hope that when consumers first encounter Dr. Alva’s renewed brand image, they will immediately sense its “professional rigor with a pioneering edge.” The distinctive and compelling visual language builds a bridge between rational perception and emotional resonance, ensuring the brand is remembered for its visual signature and trusted for the values it embodies.
