The MAKE SENSE All-Metal Razor marks an important step for the brand into the shaving category. Developed over several years, it was conceived as a shaving tool that responds more intuitively to the needs of contemporary men, while reshaping the experience of modern manual shaving.

For the product, UDL designed a bespoke gift box and packaging system. Drawing from the razor’s proprietary “2+2+1” shaving system, we extracted a two-part stripe motif and translated the product’s structural logic into a visual device for the gift box. The gift box features a metallic material finish that echoes the razor’s finely sculpted surface as it catches the light, creating a direct visual and tactile connection between the packaging and the product.

We also developed an adaptable internal structure for the gift box. The same system can be reconfigured for different product assortments, balancing presentation, protection, and the unboxing experience while reducing the need for repeated development and excess material use. This flexibility allows the packaging to support the brand across evolving marketing contexts.

The packaging for the razor and replacement Blade Cores extends the visual identity established across MAKE SENSE’s existing product range. Product imagery, a clear information hierarchy, and concise typography communicate the brand’s restrained and professional character, helping consumers quickly understand each product’s key information and benefits.

Packaging is often the first interface through which consumers encounter and understand a product. It must translate product innovation into an immediate and authentic experience while balancing brand expression, structural engineering, and commercial requirements. Beginning with the razor itself, we carried its defining qualities into the gift box’s visual language, material finish, and structure—expressing both the attitude of MAKE SENSE and the product’s sense of precision, while creating a packaging system designed to serve the brand over time.
