UDL designed the new  Atomizing Light Serum Device for MOYAL, the beauty-tech brand under SMOORE, a global leader in atomization technology—bringing users a new, high-performance skincare experience powered by the synergy of mist and light.

MOYAL Atomizing Light Serum Device is a complete tech-skincare system comprising an atomization device, a permeation-boosting device, and proprietary serum capsules—integrating an active-preserving formula, jet-mist permeation, and high-energy photoelectronic technology into one coordinated workflow.

Conventional skincare relies on topical application on the skin surface, which limits absorption and penetration efficiency. Powered by SMOORE’s industry-leading atomization technology, the MOYAL atomization device—through supersonic peak cutting rates and an innovative jet-mist nozzle—micro-disperses serum into 0.01–0.05 mm particles. This enables fast, even delivery that bypasses the epidermal barrier and penetrates efficiently into the dermis. Paired with the Energy Sphere permeation device, electrical pulses further enhance absorption, guiding the serum to penetrate precisely into the skin layers where specific concerns originate. After three stages of permeation enhancement, the system claims to achieve 43× penetration volume and a 3× increase in penetration depth.

The industrial design focuses on elevating interaction quality. By closely mapping the user journey and breaking functions into distinct modules, we improved everyday usability while introducing a stronger sense of ritual to the experience.

Through an innovative internal component-stacking architecture, the atomization device efficiently packages a complex mechanical system into a compact, ergonomic form. In collaboration with SMOORE’s engineering team, we also co-developed a novel flip-top linked mechanism, turning the blade-like lid into a key interaction touchpoint: lift the lid, insert the serum capsule, close it—and it’s ready to use. When replacing the capsule, lifting the lid triggers the capsule to automatically eject. The interaction is streamlined and elegant, with a refined, premium feel.

We designed the permeation device as a compact, refined sphere—easy to hold and allowing users to adjust their grip naturally during use.

We also created a charging-and-storage dock with a strong sense of ritual. Its non-directional circular form integrates seamlessly into a vanity setting, while automatic charging ensures the device is always ready at full power.
