NudgeBox is the world's first compact, desktop gene sequencing device that can be operated by users themselves. It simplifies the process of genetic analysis, eliminating the need for complex and expensive laboratory equipment and procedures, and allows users to view their data through a smartphone.

The design of NudgeBox differentiates it from similar "laboratory instrument" products, featuring a sleek and calm design language that allows it to seamlessly integrate into various everyday settings. The concept of a black container and the sliding open-close interaction are intended to give the gene sequencing device a sense of ceremony and mystery.

This product was developed by the UK tech company DnaNudge and won the 2021 MacRobert Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering, regarded as the highest honor for engineering innovation in the UK.

Traditional gene analysis requires a lot of manpower, material resources and time.

DnaCartridge: A saliva sample is placed into the DnaCartridge, which essentially functions as a complete lab-on-a-chip.

NudgeBox: The DnaCartridge is activated, DNA is extracted and analyzed, and the data is loaded onto the user's smartphone. NudgeBox not only reduces the requirements for the testing environment but also surpasses ordinary laboratories in efficiency, delivering test results in as little as 60 minutes.
