Founded in 1987, the Tokyo Type Directors Club (Tokyo TDC) has organized the annual Tokyo TDC Awards since 1990. The competition explores the evolving possibilities of typography and visual language in contemporary design, and is widely recognized within the international graphic design community. 

This year, the Tokyo TDC Annual Awards received 3,605 entries. Following the jury process, three UDL projects were selected as Excellent Works: penta, an album visual identity created by the Ding Fan / Fang Jianping Partner Team for musician Diner; the online cover design for photographer YE FEI’s ongoing project Seen by; and SNAKE, an interactive digital game and arcade machine created by the Li Xiang / Xing Chen Partner Team for BALENCIAGA’s Lunar New Year gifting project. 

All three projects will be featured in the Tokyo TDC Annual Awards 2026 yearbook and exhibited at Ginza Graphic Gallery from April 3 to May 16, 2026.
