EMBER is not a traditional Japanese cuisine, yet a modern brand that has absorbed multiple cultures from Japan, Korea, and the United States. Nakahara Kentaro, the master of Wagyu cooking, performs it to the extreme in Tokyo. Now, EMBER has brought Nakahara‘s ultimate charcoal-grilled cuisine to Shenzhen and Shanghai.

As French chef Michel Bras says, “As a chef, you are creating a language”. What UDL does is to visualize the ingenuity and the fusion cuisine from Nakahara, endeavoring to interpret the contemporary oriental spirit in the context of global cultural inclusiveness.

The brand images and applications of EMBER's two stores in Shenzhen and Shanghai reach brand consistency. Above this coherence, we have formulated position and product variation for different regions. This subtle treatment is consistent with EMBER's attitude towards cuisine and even its inherent spirit.  
EMBERGO is EMBER’s take-out brand, offering Wagyu burger as core product. UDL gives a lighter and more lifestyle-oriented vibe to this sub-brand. In addition, by deepening the interpretation of “EM-BER-GO”, the identity enables the viewer to associate it with the pronunciation of “Hamburger”and its modern take-out nature.
