For Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, UDL works with Loro Piana, LOEWE and ZEGNA to explore reunion and well-wishing through play, gardening and making—turning festive ideas into experiences to take part in, grow with and assemble by hand.

Loro Piana | Stairway to the Moon
Created as a Mid-Autumn gift, Stairway to the Moon turns moon-viewing into a game for two. Players use sheep-shaped mallets to knock down the rabbits and moon on their side; the first to clear them all wins. Cashmere waves, jade rabbits and the moon come together in a playful scene inspired by “the moon rising over the sea,” making reunion and companionship part of the experience.

LOEWE | Limited Gardening Kit
Inspired by the Spanish saying, “Everyone should plant at least one tree in their lifetime,” UDL designed a gardening kit rooted in LOEWE’s longstanding engagement with nature, craft and materials. Made for real use beyond the festival, planting, tending and waiting all become part of the gift—and its well-wishes continue to grow over time.

ZEGNA | OASI LOCK
Inspired by Monterosa Byobu, Atsushi Kitagawara’s interactive wooden installation for Oasi Zegna, OASI LOCK combines its architectural reference with the interlocking logic of the traditional Luban lock. Wooden components echo the warp and weft of ZEGNA’s textile craft, while a golden sphere suggests the moon. Through disassembly and reassembly, the experience reflects heyi (合一)—different parts connecting to become a whole, symbolising bonds between family, elements, and people and nature.
