As Paris Fashion Week comes to a close, we‘re sharing the invitation set we designed and produced for Balmain’s Spring–Summer 2027 show.

For this collection, Creative Director Antonin Tron celebrates the body through a range of silhouettes, with references to a Los Angeles fever dream. Psychedelia, with its sense of liberation and hallucination, also played an important role in his creative vision.

Drawing on these references, UDL developed “Love Letter to LA,” an invitation in the form of a stereoscopic slide viewer. Dating back to the 19th century, stereoscopic viewers once allowed people to explore distant cities and landscapes without leaving home.

We selected iconic landmarks and natural landscapes of Los Angeles, creating a series of photographic slides. Special attention was given to spatial relationships and depth, bringing a refined three-dimensional effect to the original 2D images. As each slide changes, another view of Los Angeles unfolds.

A stereoscopic love letter to the city, offering guests a glimpse into the collection‘s cinematic and enigmatic world before the show begins.
