UDL Partner and Creative Director Liao Zicheng was invited to serve on the jury of the 26th Platinum Originality International Competition. Jointly organized by the China Academy of Art and the Zhejiang Artists Association, the competition has long supported the development of design education and emerging creative talent, and is widely recognized among design schools and the professional design community in China.

The Open Theme category of this year’s competition accepted submissions from November 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026. It received 16,865 entries from approximately 9,080 participants across 19 countries and regions, reflecting the openness and diversity of contemporary design practice among a new generation of designers. 

Guided by the idea that design is a form of narrative, Liao works across technology and consumer electronics, food and retail, personal care and lifestyle, as well as culture and the arts, helping brands reshape meaning and visual order within a contemporary global context. He is also a member of the Shenzhen Graphic Design Association (SGDA) and a guest lecturer at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. 

UDL will continue to engage with emerging design practices and new generations of creators, and looks forward to discovering more perspectives and energy from young designers through this year’s competition.
